Support the Governor's bold budget proposal. It is long past time we invested in our transportation and education. This kind of investment not only has long term benefits but it will spur the local economy immediately. It is time we modernized our tax system, as well, by reducing our high sales tax which falls disproportionately on the poor and increasing our income tax according to each person's ability to pay.
Why is this important?
The Governor has done so much to make sure Massachusetts pulls out of the recession faster and more robustly than the rest of the nation. Let's support his efforts by investing in Massachusetts' future and fund that investment in a balanced and equitable fashion.
