We, the undersigned, call on Susan G. Komen for the Cure CEO Nancy Brinker and the entire Board of Directors to resign immediately, and for nominations for their replacements to be ratified by the 120 local affiliate organizations.
Why is this important?
Susan G. Komen for the Cure CEO & Founder, Nancy Brinker, and the rest of the nine-member board, have put the entire organization at risk through blantant partisanship, deceit, departure from the organization's mission, and abuse of the public's trust. The 120 affiliate chapters, the millions of men and women who have run in their races, and the people the organization serves deserve leadership they can trust to put politics aside and put healthcare first. The organization can not maintain its leadership position so long as Brinker and the current board remain in place. It is time for them all to resign and time for the public to demand it.
