An elected official should not be allowed to switch parties or be an independent until the next upcoming election so we know exactly who we the people are voting for.
Why is this important?
A politician shouldn't be allowed to switch parties or be an independent until the next election cycle when that person runs again so we know exactly what that person stands for. I don't want to support someone who goes with the trend to help themselves and not the people who supported that person.
