Take back our streets!

I just received in yesterday’s mail an "Urgent Message" appealing to every NRA member to oppose Dianne Feinstein's gun bill. Don't let them spook you! Not every member of the NRA is opposed to it. I know, for a fact, from other NRA members to whom I have spoken, that many feel that it is a timely and much needed action, so please support it.
Every year, since 9/11/2001, more than twice as many people are slaughtered on our streets by gunfire, as died in the destruction of the World Trade Center and, rather than do something about it, people merely get increasingly paranoid and then go out and by a gun which,( in many cases) they don’t even know how to properly use. They then think that they are more safe, rather than realizing that they are simply adding to the problem.
Meanwhile our government is spending billions ($68B in 2012 alone) on "Homeland Security". The situation reminds me of Singapore in 1941; all the big guns were pointed out to sea and then the fatal attack came from landward.
In addition to supporting the Feinstein bill, let’s sideline some of that $68 billion spent on “homeland security” and spend it on “security of our streets” by getting these gun-toting gang members and other armed juvenile delinquents off our streets and into vigorous, controlled, long-range personal development programs, even if it takes re-creating something like the CCC’s to do it. At the very least, that would help to reduce the breeding ground for our next generation of killers.

Sincerely,
Chuck MacLearnsberry

Why is this important?

Innocent people are being shot down on our streets by the thousands.
