Take Down the Confederate Flag
We, as citizens of the state of Georgia, do not believe the Confederate flag is in any sort of a positive representation our nation. Amoung many of our citizens, the Confederate flag is symbol of oppression and hate. A time when all men were not treated equally. Theis country is based upon the liberties and freedoms amoung all races. Rejoicing a time when poeple were inhumanely treated is wrong. We are asking, that you, our respresentatives take down the flag. the hearbreaking shootings at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church have shown that action needs to take place, and it is important we act on it now, rather than later.
Why is this important?
I have seen a multitude of Confederate flags ammoung our community, and they should not be allowed to serve as a respresentation in our society.
