Tax ammunition to cover the costs incurred by gun violence in this country.
Why is this important?
The NRA suggests that an armed guard be present at every school in the country. We should tax all ammunition to pay for a police officer to be available at every school, mall movie theater, etc. Additionally, the tax should cover the cost incurred by gunshot victims, police and ATF due to guns.
Shooting ranges and hunting lodges and other places that are able to account for all ammunition used should be exempt from this tax.
Furthermore, the amount ammunition is taxed should be based on the percentage of crimes committed by that ammunition.
