From the government shutdown to the debt ceiling, Tea Party Republicans have wreaked enough havoc on our country. Stop holding the country hostage to further your political gains; vote on a clean budget resolution and raise the debt ceiling without demanding cuts to Social Security, Obamacare, or any other vital programs. Obamacare was upheld as constitutional by a conservative Supreme Court! It's the law of the land, and shutting down the government won't make it go away; it only hurts people who are hurting enough already!
Why is this important?
As a U.S. Army civilian, I was recently furloughed for six days due to the sequester budget cuts. On top of that drastic cut to my pay, I am now facing an indefinite period of time with no paycheck in sight.
