Tell AutoZone to stop union-busting and reinstate fired workers!

In late September, AutoZone workers won a historic union election by a vote of 6-4 at a store in Queens, New York. It's the first ever location of the nation's largest auto parts retail chain to unionize.

Workers overcame a union-busting campaign that featured at least 17 managers descending on the single store and $200,000 of spending. All to try to stop workers from having a real voice over their wages, working conditions, and treatment on the job. Once workers won the election to join the United Auto Workers (UAW), AutoZone fired two workers involved with organizing the union, Autozone Workers United.

Why is this important?

One worker at the AutoZone store said, "Our goal is to get compensation, job security, just more things that closely reflect the value that we know that we bring to the company. We’re not getting close to what we’re worth."

Workers want fair pay and treatment, while corporate executives want to continue exploiting workers. Executives will expend massive amounts of resources to try to stop the union instead of using those resources to compensate and take care of their workers.

A UAW local vice president highlighted the anti-union activity before the vote: "They’ve had more corporate executive union-busters in the store than workers."

AutoZone executives know that one store's union election could lead to a wave of union organizing across their chain, and more workers building power across the country.

AutoZone workers have the legal right to form a union and they need support right now to fight back against union-busting.

Sign the petition: Tell AutoZone to stop union-busting, reinstate the two fired union workers, and recognize AutoZone Workers United now!
