To: U.S. Congress
Tell Congress: Avoid War with Iran!
I urge you to use every ounce of your influence and constitutional authority to prevent all-out war with Iran.
Why is this important?
Despite diplomacy being the only way to truly keep people safe and avoid violence, Trump is ratcheting up the temperature on war with Iran.
He’s deployed “two aircraft carriers, a dozen warships, hundreds of fighter jets and multiple air defense systems” to the region, and experts are sounding the alarm on what looks like a “massive, weeks-long campaign.” And Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just made a special trip to DC where he tried to sabotage nuclear diplomacy and pave the path to war yet again.
We have the narrowest window of time to prevent a new endless war in the Middle East.
We can’t overstate the danger of this moment. Congress can — and must — pull us off the path toward a war that no one wants. We can’t afford for them to wait until Trump makes good on his threats to bomb Iran: To get lawmakers to act NOW, they need to hear from tens of thousands of constituents, from people like you.
