Donald J. Trump, in an agreement with the U.S. Government, is developing a Trump International Hotel on the site of the Old Post Office Pavilion building (a Federal property) on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C.
This historical building on one of the most famous streets in the world should be developed by someone who represents American values, not someone who is trying to tear our country apart with his hateful, ignorant rhetoric and divisive ideology.
We must petition the government and General Services Administration (GSA) - as the agency in charge of the development - to reconsider having Trump as the developer of this marquee hotel.
Why is this important?
Trump's anti-immigrant and refugee rhetoric harms all immigrants and demeans the reputation of the United States around the world.
I believe in equality and respect for all.
Let's support and respect the workers redeveloping this majestic property (many of whom are immigrants) and pressure the U.S. government to do the right thing and Dump Trump as developer of the Old Post Office on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.
