Tell Congress: No cuts to the Affordable Care Act!

Millions of people could have their health care ripped away if the ACA rollbacks proposed by Republicans in Congress are implemented. By ending automatic reenrollment in plans, letting health care premium tax credits expire, and cutting subsidies for certain immigrants, Republicans are stripping critical health care access for everyday Americans—all so they can give tax breaks to the ultra wealthy.

Health care leaders are sounding the alarm. In a letter to the House, organizations including American Diabetes Association, American Lung Association, and the American Cancer Society warned that ACA cuts would be devastating for the marketplace—and the people who rely on it. “If enacted, millions of people will lose health insurance, premiums will skyrocket, and hospitals and health care providers will be forced to close their doors—particularly in rural communities.” 

Nearly two-thirds of Americans have a favorable opinion of the ACA. Over the years, people have contacted their legislators, protested in the street, and publicly shared their stories about how the ACA has benefited them and their families. We can’t slow down now—we have to keep up the pressure.
