Tell Congress To Act to Limit Presidential Powers to Pardon Himself and Others Guilty of High Cri...

As Trump became more blatant with the pardoning of Joe Arpaio without regard to proper process, and whereas the President has been accused of high crimes against the United States, and whereas many news outlets have reported the President is inquiring about his ability to pardon himself and family members, and whereas the President's legal ability to pardon himself is considered a legal gray area, and whereas it is likely the President will attempt to pardon any parties found guilty in the Trump/Russia investigation, and whereas the President's ability to pardon is currently unchecked and virtually unlimited, and whereas unlimited power over any aspect of our government process by any one person is a bad idea, we urge Congress to take immediate measures to place appropriate and prudent measures on the presidential powers to pardon himself and others. With allegations of high crimes including treason, in this current political climate and with the integrity of our Democracy at stake, we must not allow such blatant abuse of power and privilege to exist within our government.

Why is this important?

This is a petition to encourage Congress to place limitations on the presidential powers to pardon himself or others who may be found guilty of high crimes and treason against the United States.
