Tell Disney: Stop blocking abortion access
Your employees are probably relieved to see that you have responded to the Supreme Court’s decision to end abortion rights by committing to financially support them in travelling out of state to seek abortion care. This is much needed resource, but your commitment to abortion access and supporting families must be stronger considering you have funded many of the politicians who campaigned to take away our reproductive rights to begin with.
The majority of your political giving goes to anti-abortion politicians. Your donations are directly strengthening bans on abortion care and anti-family legislation. Live up to your values as a family company and stop these donations immediately.
Why is this important?
Corporations have a responsibility to step up in the wake of the Supreme Court decision that eliminated the federal right to an abortion. Disney took an important stance by creating a policy to support employees who have to travel out of state to get abortion care. But, Disney is part of the reason this decision was handed down! They need to halt donations to anti-abortion politicians.
In 2020, 53% of all of Disney’s political giving was to anti-abortion politicians. Disney can’t claim to be a pro-family organization when they are giving to anti-family politicians who want to control our own reproductive health decisions.
