Dear Governor Brown: Protect our coastline by supporting both investment in renewable energy and a ban on fracking in California. Hold the oil companies accountable for the damage and clean up of the Refugio coast.
Why is this important?
My grandparents lived and worked on the Refugio coast; my mother played every day on El Capitan beach. They would be saddened beyond belief to see the damage to the wildlife and the environment that this oil spill has caused.
Oil production will never be safe. We need to invest now in solar and other renewable energy sources. No more excuses!
