SUCCESS! See below for how you can help stop a veto override

Victory! The creator of this petition declared the campaign a success. You can still sign the petition to show support.

I'm writing to ask Governor Kasich to use your line-item veto authority to remove three provisions of the state budget (HB49) that limit access to expanded Medicaid.

In particular, please veto the freeze on enrollment, work requirements and the "Healthy Ohio" program that subjects enrollees to a loss of coverage for premium non-payment.

Without a veto, these three provisions could combine to have a devastating impact on the ability for low-income Ohioans to access healthcare, and on the state’s main tool for fighting the scourge of addiction.

Why is this important?

SUCCESS!
On Friday, June 30, Governor Kasich announced that he had vetoed the provisiions in the state budget to limit or effectively end the expansion of Medicaid to low-income adults that would have caused 500,000 or more Ohioans to lose healthcare coverage. But the legislature says it has the votes to override the Governor's veto.

Now, can you help by signing our petition to tell state lawmakers to let Governor Kasich's veto stand?
