To: Governor Greg Abbott
Tell Governor Rick Perry: Resign Immediately
Gov. Rick Perry was just indicted by a Texas Grand Jury for abuse of power and coercion of a public official in connection with his threat to veto the funding of the Travis County Public Integrity Unit's budget if the Travis County district attorney didn't resign.
Perry carried out his veto threat when the D.A. didn't resign, and a grand jury was convened to investigate the governor.
On Friday evening, August 15, 2014, an indictment was handed down, and the top of it it says: The State of Texas vs. James Richard "Rick" Perry.
It's an embarrassment for Texas, and Rick Perry needs to resign immediately.

Why is this important?
I'm proud to be a Native Texan and we deserve a statesman for our governor. Not someone who is more interested in making and carrying out political threats.
