If Senator Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) votes to confirm Scott Pruitt as head of the Environmental Protection Agency, we the undersigned believe that she should be removed from the Democratic caucus and/or immediately stripped of her committee assignments in the United States Senate.
Why is this important?
On Thursday, February 16, 2017, Senator Heitkamp announced her support of pro-fracking Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to head the Environmental Protection Agency. As a Democrat, Senator Heitkamp's shameful support of Pruitt goes against the overwhelming opinion of her fellow Senate colleagues, and it also runs opposite the opinion of the national Democratic Party as a whole.
