Louisiana can't afford NOT to participate in the medicaid expansion and other lifesaving measures in the Affordable Care Act.
Louisiana leads the nation in rates of cancer, and ranks in the top ten for rates of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. With 25% living below poverty, many of our fellow Louisiana citizens cannot afford to buy insurance.
I urge you to ensure that Louisiana gets the health care that we deserve. Please implement all the provisions of the Affordable Care Act.
Why is this important?
Gov. Jindal is threatening not to implement or participate in key components of the Affordable Care Act risking the health of thousands of Louisiana's residents. Tell him that Louisiana needs affordable health care.
