Tell Ohio to fund and require security at our public schools

The state should require that all public schools have security measures in place that will prevent unauthorized individuals from entering the building. Either through automatic locking/unlocking mechanisms or armed police officers at the entrance. The state should be required to make sure funding is available for such security measures.

Why is this important?

Many public schools in Ohio have no way to prevent someone who may wish to do harm from entering the school buildings. Schools should at a minimum be required to have automatic locking/unlocking mechanisms on the entrance to the building. Where this is not logistically possible, an armed police officer should be stationed at the entrance.
