Tell Pam Bondi: Stop Downloadable Guns
Stop 3-D printed guns from being available to any dangerous citizen.
Why is this important?
This month, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the Department of Justice settled a critical lawsuit. Forfeiting the case, they chose to allow blueprints for firearms--from pistols to assault weapons--to be posted online. Now, anyone with a 3-D printer and WiFi can make their own AR-15. This could mean convicted felons, domestic abusers, and terrorists can print guns with no background check and no consequence.
Luckily, more than 21 state attorneys general are working to stop this. States from California to Massachusetts are suing the State Department to reverse their decision. Here in Florida, we understand the horrors of gun violence. As a high school senior in Orlando, I know it too.
I remember donating blood in the wake of the Pulse massacre or frantically checking on my friends in Parkland this February. I know what it's like to live with the threat of gun violence lurking over my head.
Ensure that Attorney General Pam Bondi joins this lawsuit, and defends Floridians' lives. Too much is at risk.
