Tell the FCC to Unlock The Box

American consumers pay an average of $231 per year to rent a set top box from the cable monopolies. This hurts competition, limits consumer choice, and lifts up cable profits.

Cable companies shouldn't be able to block what consumers see on their TV. We urge the FCC to Unlock The Box.

Why is this important?

Cable providers have held a monopoly on cable boxes for too long. Consumers are forced to rent these locked boxes for an average of $231 / year. The FCC has proposed a rule that would end this monopoly, driving innovation, bringing down costs for consumers, and making it simple to get streaming content in every American home.
