To: U.S. Congress

Tell the Holdouts in the Senate: Listen to the People! End the War on Iran.

Your repeated votes against war powers resolutions to cease hostilities against Iran continue to be at odds with a majority of Americans, including many of your constituents, who want an end to the war.

This war has already killed thousands, cost U.S. taxpayers tens of billions of dollars, and triggered an economic crisis, driving up gas and food prices for people worldwide. It’s time you change course and vote “YES” on war powers resolutions to stop war on Iran.

Why is this important?

After eight tries, the Senate finally advanced a war powers resolution (WPR) rebuking Trump’s disastrous, illegal war on Iran.

It’s huge, and here’s how it broke down: Three Republican absences and four Republican ‘Yes’ votes moved the WPR forward. All but ONE Democrat voted yes, too. It was a crucial step toward ending war on Iran — but the work is far from finished. With more votes ahead, we need to go all in to maintain and keep growing our coalition in the Senate.

The most important — and fragile — part of any strategy is moments like this, where the stakes are high, and the balance feels like it just might fall in your favor. A key holdout that could tip the scales? Senator John Fetterman.

If Sen. Fetterman thinks he can keep taking out-of-touch votes and ignoring the pleas of his constituents — along with the overwhelming majority of Americans who oppose this war — without consequence, he’s sorely mistaken. Accountability starts with showing up, so we’re going to send Sen. Fetterman a message backed by tens of thousands of activists that he and his staff won’t be able to ignore.
