Tell the National Restaurant Association to stop using styrofoam - as beverage containers and as carry-out vessels - it's toxic!
Why is this important?
Styrofoam has a 2,000 year half-life. It is extremely toxic. It's unnecessary - just cheap. It can't be burned without polluting the air and can't be buried without polluting the ground. Many people take their food home and microwave it while still in styrofoam containers, creating the potential for released toxins going into their bodies.
