To: The Pennsylvania State House, The Pennsylvania State Senate, and Governor Tom Wolf
Tell the PA Legislature "Stop Trying to Rig Elections"
No other state in our union has taken such radical steps to make one person's vote count more than another's nor should Pennsylvania. We elect our officials to represent the interest of the majority - NOT the interest of a political party that would rather win by rigging the game than on policy. The action the PA Legislature is seeking is likely illegal, and we have seen enough of our tax dollars wasted on trials (like PA Voter ID) that ultimately are ruled against such underhanded attempts to steal elections and dilute the electorate. We must make it clear that Pennsylvania's role in elections must remain consistent with the nation's, and that any such action will damage the democratic system along with the current Legislature's chances of remaining in office.
Why is this important?
The PA State GOP is seeking to change the rules for elections, thus redefining "majority" and Pennsylvania's role in choosing our leaders. By introducing a bill that would drastically change the way Pennsylvania's Electoral College distributes votes, your vote may count as less than another's based on gerrymandered districts.
