Dear Senator,

I strongly urge you to vote NO on Peter Wright’s nomination to lead the EPA’s Office of Land and Emergency Management.

Wright worked at Dow Chemical as a corporate lawyer since 1999 and is a former Monsanto employee. If confirmed, Wright would oversee the EPA office responsible for responding to large national emergencies, including oil spills and unauthorized releases of chemicals. He would also oversee the Superfund hazardous waste program. While working at Dow, Wright was managing counsel for environmental health and safety and advised Dow on Superfund cleanups. He has no place regulating the companies and chemicals he has been paid to protect. I strongly urge you to stand up to the chemical industry, stand up for our health and environment, and vote against Wright’s confirmation!

Thank you.

Why is this important?

Trump nominated Peter Wright to lead the EPA’s program that manages more than a thousand Superfund toxic waste sites. Wright is a Dow Chemical lawyer and former Monsanto employee.

The Senate can reject Wright’s nomination. But we need your help to convince it to act!
