To: The United States House of Representatives

Tell your Representative: Stop Scott Pruitt's toxic legacy!

Dear Representative,

I urge you to support amendment #30 to HR.6147, the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies Appropriations bill. The amendment, introduced by Representatives Connolly and Beyer, would block funding to finalize any rulemaking initiated under former EPA Administrator Pruitt until after the Office of the Inspector General concludes its probes into his conduct.

Over a dozen rulemakings initiated under Pruitt are ongoing, including efforts to weaken fuel efficiency standards, protections for the Waters of the United States, and President Obama’s landmark Clean Power Plan. These are all major policy shifts that would benefit the very industries that Pruitt is accused of having improper relationships with. To ensure that the EPA is truly listening to the American people I implore you to vote for this amendment to suspend these rulemakings while the remaining investigations continue.

Sincerely,

Why is this important?

Dirty coal lobbyist Andrew Wheeler is running the EPA now that Scott Pruitt is out. And he wants to pick up exactly where Scott Pruitt left off. We can’t let him.

This week our environmental champions in Congress are demanding a vote to keep Wheeler from continuing Pruitt’s toxic agenda. It would freeze all of Pruitt’s most dangerous policies while the 12+ federal investigations into his corruption conclude. But some Republicans want to block the vote. We need your help to stop them!
