TERM LIMITS
WE, the undersigned, purusant to Article V of the U.S. Constitution hereby petition the members of Congress to amend the Constitution so as to restrict members of Congress to no more than 12 years in office which would relate to 2 terms as Senator, 6 terms as Represntative or one term as Senator and 3 terms as Representative.
Why is this important?
People should be concernd about the length of time members of Congress are remaining in office. It creates a situation where the longer they stay the more power they obtain. Also, the lobbyists are able to get close to them. There is no reason that they stay as long as they do. Also, with term limits,there would be no need for pensions.
