To: The United States House of Representatives and The United States Senate

Term Limits for Congress and Senate

The US Congress and US Senate need to be held to limited terms in office. The benefits they accrue by virtue of their service, need, likewise, to be limited to the time spent in office.
I hereby petition that the members of the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate be limited to the same terms as the President and that the benefits they enjoy while in office be limited to their time in office. In other words, they may not serve indefinitely; they may not receive lifetime benefits like health insurance and salary. They will be entitled to the same benefits that other working Americans receive like Social Security and Medicare provided they pay into them as well.

Why is this important?

The US Congress and US Senate need to be held to limited terms in office. The benefits they accrue by virtue of their service need, likewise, to be limited to the time spent in office.
