The Maryland State Constitution should be amended to place term limitations on members of the General Assembly of Maryland.
Why is this important?
Long standing members of the General Assembly control many aspects of all Marylanders' lives, in all districts, even though the majority have never voted for or against their continuance in office. Our local representatives are powerless against the entrenched political machine. Term limitations will help ensure such vast power does not become concentrated in individuals who were not directly elected by those upon whom their actions effect.
