We the people request that all police officers who work for accredited agencies be required to wear cameras and audio recorders in order to document their interactions while performing their duties. This will protect both the officers from false claims and damaging liabilities, and the civilians from abuse of power that may result in unlawful arrest, incarceration, and bodily injury.
Why is this important?
I was recently unlawfully arrested, abused, and had false charges pressed against me by officers who mocked me and said I could do nothing about it because no one would believe me. I refuse to let this injustice happen to anyone else.
