The undersigned congratulate our local Member of Congress for supporting measures to prevent gun violence and for co-sponsoring the bi-partisan U.S. House of Representatives bill, H.R. 1565, which provides for expanded background checks for the purchase of firearms and creates a commission to study the causes of mass violence in the U.S.
