The Citizens United decision and 'money = speech' delivers the power entirely to entities who have money and the more money they have, the more power they can 'buy.' This is not American Politics as the Founding Fathers envisioned it. We must remove money out of politics entirely and have candidates of all social and economic strata of our society compete solely on the merit of their views on the issues at hand, nothing else.
Why is this important?
We are Americans and this is our nation, our home. Power has been taken away from us through money and politics. When we see such anomalies as the Citizens United decision and the equating of 'money as speech' by our highest court, we know it is time to clean house and take back control of our government. We know it is time to take money entirely out of politics.
