THE CHILD CARE FUNDING CRISIS HAS RETURNED

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED TO PREVENT A DAY CARE DISASTER
The state legislature is about to pass a new budget for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2015
Representatives of Child Care Advocates United have been meeting with our supporters in the House and Senate and the bottom line is-
THE SITUATION IS DESPERATE FOR ANYONE WHO CARES ABOUT ILLINOIS CHILD CARE-
PARENTS, PROVIDERS TEACHERS AND CHILDREN
Governor Rauner is presenting a budget plan that would multiply co-pays for parents and rip the guts out of funding- a more than 35% reduction that would force centers to choose between operating bare bones baby-sitting warehouses and closing altogether
Even our best friends among the legislators cannot fight this battle without our help- and frankly, they haven't been hearing from us for many weeks. As the critical days of the budget struggle approach, they are concerned that we are not willing to fight for day care.
WE ALL SAW IN FEBRUARY AND MARCH WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN THEY PLAY POLITICS WITH THE WELFARE OF OUR CHILDREN
