The History Channel Must Stop Showing Roundup Ads

More and more reputable sources tell of 15 health problems linked to
Roundup (and its ingredient glyphosate) and its effect on human beings. Both the World Health Organization and California state scientists have found links between the herbicide and cancer. Monsanto has falsified data on Roundup's safety, and marketed it to parks departments and consumers as “environmentally friendly" and “biodegradable, to encourage its use it on roadsides, playgrounds, golf courses, schoolyards, lawns and home gardens. A French court ruled those marketing claims amounted to false advertising. The History Channel should stop airing these ads from Monsanto.

Why is this important?

Despite their GMO-free status, testing completed at Anresco, a laboratory registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), found glyphosate residues in Cheerios as well as other popular foods. General Mills' Cheerios are one of the first solid foods many parents feed to their children. They're small, convenient and easy to chew — and there's even a section on the Cheerios website for "new parents who have invited … original Cheerios to introduce their children to finger foods." When I heard this, I was appalled when I realized how widespread this problem was, since most parent use Cheerios as their go-to snack for their children. Every time I see one of Monsanto's ads for Roundup on The History Channel I promise myself to do something. This is why I am starting this petition.
