To: Joe Biden, Vice President

The NRA Has No Place In Helping Stop Gun Violence

In the wake of the tragic shootings in Newtown, CT, the National Rifle Association has made it perfectly clear that they deserve no place in our national conversation on how best to address mass shootings and gun violence.

As you carry out your investigation into the most effective ways to address the devastating impact of easy access to high powered weapons on our communities, I urge you to exclude the NRA from your discussions. They have become nothing but a trade association for gun manufacturers, and they have no interest other than to put more guns on the streets and more profits in their pockets. Their extremist views stand in the way of real progress.

Why is this important?

In the wake of the tragic shootings in Newtown, CT, the National Rifle Association has made it perfectly clear that they deserve no place in our national conversation on how best to address mass shootings and gun violence.

Let's make sure that Vice President Joe Biden does not consult with them as part of his investigation into the most effective ways to address the devastating impact of easy access to high powered weapons on our communities.
