When people swear on the bible, they can be forgiven, by saying their sorry. If they break the laws they have sworn to uphold, they should lose their citizenship. If our elected officials do not take what they swear to seriously, We the people have the right to impeach them.
Why is this important?
When an elected person is going to be sworn into office they should put their hand on the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence.
When the Declaration of Independence was being created, B. Franklin Said "We should change the words, We find these words to be Sacred" to "We find these truths to be self evident"
Separation state and Religion . So why are we swearing on a bible?
