In his first press conference in 6 months, Donald Trump told reporters that only they, the media, care about his tax returns and that the American public does not. I am a member of the American Public, and I care. I want his tax returns released and reviewed before he takes the oath of office.
Why is this important?
I just watched the press conference and heard the President Elect state that the public does not care about his tax records. I do care, as do many others in the country as evident by repeated requests since the campaign. I am concerned both about the failure to release the tax returns, AND the false claim about how the public feels. I want to let Donald Trump and his Administration know that we are listening and watching and when they mis-speak for us, we WILL call them on it.
