Why is this important?

I am one among the legions of the growing disenfranchised that work honestly, hard, and continually, daily. We pay taxes, we pay child support, we buy our uniforms and supplies as needed all from this meager and undignified source of income. The base pay for servers/waiters in Texas is $2.13 since 1991. Please, help us raise the pay to match the cost of living, inflation, and other unseen variables. That further hinder us and not help us in our pursuit of Liberty and Happiness.
