Please initiate legislation to ban assualt weapons except for law enforcement or military use. Additionally, please provide funding for treatment of mental illness. The options to treat the mentally ill are too limited, but must be addressed to prevent future masacres.
Why is this important?
Friday's events in Newtowne Connecticut should be a wake up call for all of us. We have to fight for gun control legislation and funding to treat mental illness. I do not want my child or grandchildren, any other students, teachers or movie-goers to lose their lives because we did not take action.
