Kids at age 14 are just that still kids, so they should not be allowed to make decisions about their mental health or physical health.
Why is this important?
In the state of Alabama, a 14 year old child can legally make decisions about their mental and physical health. At that point, the parent's hands are tied. However, the parent is still financially responsible for the child's bills and care. Even when the child gets in trouble at age 14, the parent is still held accountable for the child's actions. That is why the age 14 needs to change to the age of majority (19). Please sign this petition for Alabama's Concerned Parents. Thank you in advance.
That's why I created a petition to The Alabama State House, The Alabama State Senate, and Governor Robert Bentley, which says:
"Kids at age 14 are just that still kids, so they should not be allowed to make decisions about their mental health or physical health. "
