The citizens of Seminole County would like to petition the decision makers of Seminole County to correct the problems associated with panhandlers/beggars on street corners. There are too often times when the normal flow of traffic is impeded by those stopping to give money to the beggars.

This problem can be solved by making it illegal for drivers to give money to beggars from their cars while on the street. If drivers wish to give money they need to go to the parking lot rather than give it from their cars causing traffic to slow or be restricted.

Why is this important?

Panhandlers or beggars on street corners cause traffic to be slowed or impeded. Every time a driver stops to give money or other forms of assistance, the normal flow of traffic is disturbed.

Making it illegal to do this from your car while on a public street would help curb the problems associated with the panhandlers.
