Prosecute the perpetrators of hate crimes and bullying in schools. Do not prosecute victims.
Why is this important?
A victim of bullying, and race and sex discrimination at Tustin High School was suspended for 5 days after attempting to protect himself from his attacker. The orange county district attorney subsequently filed battery charges against the victim not the attacker. What type of message is this sending to the victims of bullying and hate? Let them know that this is not ok by signing this petition.
