For all public schools in Missouri, The Missouri State Board of Education should call off school if the weather is 5 degrees or below.
Why is this important?
Many students have gotten sick due to freezing weather, it's not okay for kids to be standing out at bus stops in the cold. Some schools have outside campus's where students are forced to walk outside to go to their classes. Due to freezing cold weather it can cause ice on the roads and lead to many car accidents.
