We demand that Senator Sessions rescind his decision to take protections away from transgender students. The federal government must make it clear that we as a nation will not tolerate prejudice. As Martin Luther King, Jr. reminded us, " Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
Why is this important?
I was a popular educator who always fought for the underdog. Being gay gave me first-hand experience of this kind of hate. It has to stop.
