Transparent Legislation
Citizens need live C-span coverage of both the House and the Senate when there are debates and voting sessions concerning controversial legislation. If each American knew point by point what his elected official had said about a bill and then how they voted on the final form of the bill, we all could hold our legislators accountable for their stance on important issues.
Why is this important?
I am starting this petition because our local news coverage does not inform us of what exactly each legislator is doing on important legislation. We only get general statement like, 'we need to stop spending so much;, or 'we need to present a strong image around the world.' All citizens have the right to hear each elected officials reasoning and the way they actually voted on important bills.
