Fines for corporations do nothing to discourage them from frauding our country again. Lots of jail time in a high security prision for those who cheat and steal at the levels of corporations. Treat them like any other criminal. Prosicute the polititions who have aided them in manipulating the law to enrich them selves. I want to see the FBI leading an investigation of the finaincail crisis. All lenders, investment banks, the treasury dept, the SEC, Federal Reserve have played their parts in making millions homeless and out of work.
Why is this important?
Corporations want to be treated like people in the eyes of the law. Ok, prosicute them like people too. Prosicute the ceo, the board of directors and their lawyers. Lock them up if guilty. Fining them is a joke.
