Amendment XXII
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the Congress (Senate or House of Representatives) for more than 12 years total. A person may serve up to12 year in the Senate and up to 12 years in the House of Representatives for a maximum of 24 years. This article shall apply to all persons holding the office of Congress when this article becomes law. Those presently in office with more than 12 years in the Senate or House of Representatives must resign at the end of their present term. All members of the Senate or House of Representatives must meet the same pension requirements as our military to be eligible to receive a pension & also will receive the same health insurance as our military.
Section 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the Vote of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by Petition.
