Resolved that ALL funding for lobbying legislation in the state of North Carolina be fully transparent and that no elected official of either house in the state legislature accept any funding from any individual, group or organisation which is unwilling to reveal the names and addresses of all donors.
Why is this important?
I am increasingly concerned with the power exercised by the UNELECTED corporate executives. They spend a great deal of money influencing various issues at the state and local level. Particularly, I am alarmed by the broad corporate suppourt for groups like ALEC et al.
