Uniform Sound Act

We seek enactment of a federal statute that strictly forbids all television and radio stations, and all cable and satellite communication providers, from having the audio portion of any advertisements being any louder than the regular programming accompanying the advertisements. We want strict enforcement provisions included in the legislation that provide for severe economic sanctions to be applied to any violater of the statute.

Why is this important?

On television and radio, the commercials are routinely made to play much louder than the regular programming. This is an offense to the ears of all Americans and an imposition upon all American citizens of all political bents. A strictly-enforced rule should be enacted to forbid this practice.
