UNIONIZE OFFICE JOBS
I would like to see ALL office jobs - secretarial, accounting, and Admin-type jobs - be UNIONIZED to protect the workers. Here in California, there is NO protection for office workers, and tons of abuse are heaped often daily on unsuspecting and undeserved workers.
In most cases, there is no fair resolvable process of the issues in question or meetings where the problems can be discussed and corrected as is done with Unions, nor is their any protection for that office worker, only delegation by an Upper Management spokesman who usually confronts the person in question, or who happens to be acting on another Upper Management person's directives. This often leads to unnecessary Worker's Compensation lawsuits being lobbed against the entire company when, in most instances, it is one or more acting individuals who are the key problem.
I have worked in the Secretarial, Receptionist and Administrative work force since the early 1980's here in California, and have myself suffered unnecessarily at the hands of Upper Management and Supervisors who abused their power and often scapegoated their workers, fired them unfairly and/or illegally or otherwise pressured them out of their jobs to face deprivation and financial hardship. I would like to start this petition immediately to help implement changes in Congress for all office workers, not only state-wide, but nationally.

Why is this important?
The California office workforce is one that is an 'AT WILL' entity, which gives support, as it were, to the derogation and abuse of the office worker by those in 'Upper Management'. I, myself, have come under unfair actions more than once and have been either terminated from my job unfairly or otherwise forced out.
I have also seen various and suppressive actions used by those in Upper Management against their workers due to ego concerns, and believe that unfair targeting, termination, and suppression of an individual's rights should be henceforth stopped in the office workplace altogether.
